JOB 4
And my ear received a whisper of it.
13 “Amid disquieting thoughts from the visions of the night,
When deep sleep falls on men,
14 Dread came upon me, and trembling,
And made all my bones shake.
Now fear comes from the enemy, not from God…He is just and faithful to those who are faithfully obedient!
Humble yourself, therefore under God’s mighty hand, then He will hear from heaven and heal you in your distress.  Do not lose heart, though you are wasting away on the outside, you are being renewed daily on the inside, if only you will choose to obey God’s instruction for your life.  Therefore, be patient and wait upon the Lord. He will surely lift you up and instruct you in the ways you should follow if you remain faithful to His call; it is through patient suffering that God strengthens us for service unto Him.  Be persistent in prayer; not giving up until the day of the Lord’s favor upon you.  Finally, be still and know He is God!
In the Lord’s Service…

We are called by God through the relationship we have with His Son Jesus Christ.  To whom the Son calls is chosen (1 Pet. 2:9).  The bible (God’s Word) tells we are heirs according to God’s promise to Abraham through Christ (Gal. 3:29).  Now if we are heirs to the Kingdom of God, then that means we have a responsibility to uphold.  The responsibility requires all who are in a relation to Christ (by Faith) to be subject to His commands in order for those of us in the family of God to partake in the eternal inheritance which is yet to come.  You have heard “faith without works is dead” (Jam. 2:17). So you see, in order for us to partake in the promised inheritance, we must work out our faith through works [prepared in advance by God (Eph. 2:10)] which must be accomplished in this life.  Our relationship with God is described as family, and to be part of a family it take much more than just obedience.  It takes discipline; working together as one unit toward a unique purpose, driven by love and respect for one another, and for God .  If the family is not in perfect harmony, then the family breaks up (Mark 3:25).  How does the family stay together?  It takes Love!  Love which binds the family together cannot be broken when it is perfect.  As it is written: “perfect Love casts out  all fear.”  We cannot simply be driven by obedience alone, because then we would be fearful of punishment  (under the law)  should we not complete the task given to us.  God does not want that kind of relationship (under the law) with us.  That’s why He sent His Son into the world to pay the price for sin–once and for all!   God wants us to want a relationship with Him!

God Is Love

7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 By this the love of God was manifested in us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.
15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. 19 We love, because He first loved us. 20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also.
