Life, how do you view it?
JESUS CHRIST came to earth not to be served, but rather to serve. He came that all might experience eternal Life through HIM, Who endured suffering and shame, died, rose again, and ascended to His throne at the right hand of His Father. If you think this a fairy tale, or that Christians are somehow suffering from a state of delusion, then consider this: if Christians are right, then what have we lost? If we are wrong, what have we lost?
The answer: NOTHING! What is there to gain by living a life of futility with no hope of anything afterward? What is life, but the shadow of things that have been? One persons life span compared to the expanse of time is but a mere vapor which is present only for a very short moment and then gone forever. Where does it go? Does anyone have that much faith to consider the meaning of life by which there is no intelligent design, or designer? …but as for me, I will choose CHRIST the Lord!
Through obedience come blessings.
Well, for the second available weekend when I was ready to join my buddy for a bike ride through the rugged wilderness terrain of the Texas hill country and our plans were foiled yet again by RAIN—-or were they? Though our original plans were to ride through the wilderness terrain on our bikes, does that mean there was not another plan that maybe we forgot about? Maybe through all the preparations something was forgotten. Conditioning ourselves for the journey is an essential part of the preparation process. In order to survive the journey of biking through rugged wilderness terrain, we must first take a look at our physical condition. Are we up to the challenge? If our bodies are not prepared, we will tire very quickly and our bodies will fail to physical exhaustion. This can lead to extreme physical fatigue which can last for several days if we are not careful. Believe it or not, out spiritual condition is in need of preparation much like our physical bodies. If we plan to succeed with the life we choose to live through Jesus Christ, we must engage in some serious spiritual transformation exorcises. This is true for every member of the Christian Church in order for the Church to stand united.
Rain today…
Deuteronomy 11:13-17
“If you carefully obey all the commands I am giving you today, and if you love the LORD your God and serve him with all your heart and soul, then he will send the rains in their proper seasons—the early and late rains—so you can bring in your harvests of grain, new wine, and olive oil. He will give you lush pastureland for your livestock, and you yourselves will have all you want to eat.”
“But be careful. Don’t let your heart be deceived so that you turn away from the LORD and serve and worship other gods. If you do, the LORD’s anger will burn against you. He will shut up the sky and hold back the rain, and the ground will fail to produce its harvests. Then you will quickly die in that good land the LORD is giving you.”
… reign tomorrow.
Romans 5:18-21
So then as through one transgression there resulted condemnation to all men, even so through one act of righteousness there resulted justification of life to all men. For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous. The Law came in so that the transgression would increase; but where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, as sin reigned in death, even so grace would reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
