About
Hello, and welcome to craft4christ.wordpress.com!
I decided to start this blog on January 18, 2006. The scripture contained in this blog was once shared via email, which quickly became a large endeavor to keep up with. After viewing a blog created by a friend from church, I believed that by posting daily scripture in a blog type setting would be more efficient than sending bulky emails everyday. Now I can stay up-to-date, and without getting behind.
The first e-Word was sent in January of 2005. That is exactly one year from the initial blog post!
Why e-Word? The e-Word represents the Word of God shared electronically; hence the name “e-Word”.
Why “craft4christ”? Well, a craft can be a skill in making, or doing something; craft can also represent a ship, boat, or some other vessel. Look in James chapter 3 in verse 4: “Or take ships as an example. Although they are so large and are driven by strong winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the pilot wants to go.” The ship represents this blog, the rudder represents me, and the pilot being Jesus Christ. I am completely led by Jesus Christ in an effort to make His Word known throughout the world. Just look at the cost of following Jesus in Matthew when the man walking along the road said, “I will follow you wherever you go.” Jesus then replied, “Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head.” (Luke 9:56-58) Think about that for just a second…’the Son of Man has no place to lay His head’. Are you willing to lay it all down for Jesus. Jesus; savior of the world. God, sent from heaven, who took the form of a man and brought forth atonement through His death for the sin of all mankind. (John 3:16)

For as it is written in the Word of God, “Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.”-EPHESIANS 4:29
